On July 22, 2025, we hosted a high-impact webinar titled “Intelligent Defense of Remote Assets with Whiskers (industrail IoT)” The session was led by Ahmed Ezzat (Product Manager) and Basel Korj (Embedded System Engineer), who guided more than 42 engaged attendees through a deep dive into how Whiskers, as an Industrial IoT solution, can monitor and protect your remote assets. The webinar also featured a live demo of the Whiskers Dashboard in action, showcasing real-time alerts and monitoring capabilities, and concluded with certificates of attendance issued to all participants.

1. Key Challenges and Security Gaps The session began by highlighting the visibility gaps in harsh, remote environments, such as deserts, mining sites, and temporary infrastructure zones. These gaps lead to undetected equipment failures, compliance risks, and operational delays. Traditional monitoring methods like wired systems and manual inspections were shown to be rigid, slow, and costly, setting the stage for why a smarter, scalable solution like Whiskers is urgently needed.
2. What is WHISKERS? Attendees were introduced to WHISKERS, a flexible, modular IoT platform built for rugged industrial use, capable of integrating a variety of sensor payloads such as GPS, motion, temperature, and vibration. Whether deployed as a standalone system or seamlessly integrated into your existing infrastructure, Whiskers continuously monitors your assets, delivering immediate alerts and comprehensive insights through a customizable dashboard.

Whiskers Benefits The speakers also highlighted key benefits of Whiskers, including instant alerts delivered in under a second, customizable sensors tailored to specific needs, and remote system management with user access controls. They emphasized its centralized dashboard for real-time asset visibility and its rugged, power-efficient design built to withstand extreme conditions up to 70°C.
4. WHISKERS Use Cases The speakers also presented two key use cases for WHISKERS. First, in anti-theft scenarios, the system detects unauthorized movement of high-value assets like fuel tanks or solar panels and triggers instant alerts, even in areas without cellular coverage, thanks to local data logging. Second, for environmental monitoring, WHISKERS enables real-time tracking of emissions, dust, noise, and hazardous gases using modular sensors, helping enterprises meet strict safety and compliance standards in remote or high-risk locations.
5. What Makes WHISKERS Special The presenters shared what makes WHISKERS special: it’s built in Oman for tough environments like deserts and remote sites. It sends instant alerts, works even without mobile coverage, and lets you customize what you see on the dashboard, whether it’s for theft protection or air quality monitoring. Unlike foreign systems, WHISKERS is proudly built in Oman, designed for local conditions, and fully compliant with regional data regulations.
6. Deployment Options The speakers clearly explained that WHISKERS provides clients with flexibility in deployment. Clients can choose to install the system fully on-premises within their own servers and infrastructure for total control and data sovereignty. Alternatively, there is a local Oman-based cloud option hosted by trusted partners, ensuring compliance with data residency laws while reducing infrastructure management burdens.
7. Live Demo A live demo of the WHISKERS Dashboard was presented, demonstrating how the system works in real-time and what actions and insights appear on it during operation.
8. Q&A Session Participants actively engaged with thoughtful questions about the system’s features, its capabilities, and the range of industries it can support, demonstrating strong interest in how WHISKERS could be applied across different operational environments.
9. Certificate of Attendance At the end of the session, each participant received a Certificate of Attendance from the company, recognizing their engagement and participation in the WHISKERS webinar.
